Four days ago at the opening ceremonies for the Vancouver Winter Olympics, Shane Koyczan's slam poetry about Canada was
accepted worldwide to say the least. As I post Shane's YouTube

Based in Kelowna, I am 245 miles away from the Vancouver Winter Olympics. Shane grew up just 48 miles (or 77 Canadian kilometres)
south of me in Penticton. He has quite a story!
