I am sorry to say the Sabres lost game 6 and the series to Boston this past Monday. That was a mild upset but the HUGE upset featured Halak and the Habs beating Ovechkin and the Caps in game seven last night,
2-1:
Since April 6th I have been voicing a series of banking tutorials with Arabic words. Three are finished and I have two more left. Some of the Arabic words resemble Halak - like Halaal, Haraam and Hadith. In fact, the H comes through loud and clear in much of the Arabic language.
Here is a sample you can listen to from yours truly.

Which sport's athletes need great voices?
The Buffalo Sabres just beat the Boston Bruins 4-1! NO panic even though Vanek (our top goal scorer) was not in the lineup for a third
straight game. GGGreat efforts from some G-men for Buffalo:
I would say football quarterbacks because they have to be able to communicate in the huddle and then crank it up a notch when they
bark out the signals. One of football's best quarterbacks got to shine

- Michael Grier - 2nd goal of the series
- Paul Gaustad - first point in the series

The C's Have It / C-Avs have it too!
April 12th and here is a list of 12 skill sets that will help you to refine your current skills and develop new ones in the world of voiceover. They all start with the letter C and come from voice over instructor and performer Marc Cashman.
The NBA playoffs will be starting soon and I think the Cleveland Cavs will win the championship!

The NHL playoffs start in two days and the C-Avs (short for Colorado Avalanche) are the eighth seed in the west taking on the number one seed, the San Jose Sharks. I am not sensing an upset there but I will go out on a limb and predict the Vancouver Canucks (third seed) will lose to the Los Angeles Kings (sixth seed) in the opening round here in the west. In the eastern conference matchup between the third and sixth seeds, Buffalo and Boston, I am of course taking the Buffalo Sabres - in six games.

Alright, who is getting a 2-minute penalty for (licking the) icing?

A Hockey Tradition: Playoff Beard
Details came out today about the Sabres Beard-a-thon to benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation. I grew a bit of a playoff beard this week but I plan on shaving tonight...
I am also getting my hair cut on Monday as I fear I am beginning to look a little too much like the Geico Caveman...
Here is the Caveman in a recent hockey commercial:

Commercials with Tiger and his Dad
April 7th and I see I last posted seven days ago - and seven days before that...My desk calendar has this quote today:
The imprint of the father remains forever on the life of the child.
As the Masters golf tournament begins tomorrow with the return of Tiger Woods, here is a new Nike commercial featuring the voice of his late father, Earl:
Some thoughts on the advertising approach are here at FanHouse along with a classic commercial featuring a young Tiger and his Dad.
My friend, Curt Harding, did a post last week called March DADness. I had a chance to comment and share some cool basketball info about my son, Jordan. I will be watching Jordan play basketball tonight!
My older son, Justin, is back on the baseball diamond this season while I so enjoyed hearing the words "Hello Father" from the back of the Tim Horton's lineup earlier this afternoon from our beautiful young daughter, Ashley. I am so blessed to be a Dad...
My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, "You're tearing up the grass." "We're not raising grass," Dad would reply. "We're raising boys."
